Policy
Refund Policy
This policy explains the refund window, cancellation rules, and how refunds are requested for gitroots purchases processed by Paddle.
Summary
Refund window
14 days
Eligible refund or withdrawal requests must be submitted within 14 days of the relevant transaction unless a longer mandatory consumer right applies.
Payment processor
Paddle
Paddle processes gitroots purchases as the authorized reseller and handles payment, subscription, and refund workflows.
Subscriptions
Cancel anytime
You may cancel a subscription so it does not renew after the current billing period.
Refund method
Original payment
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where possible.
Refund eligibility
14-day request period
Refund requests for gitroots paid transactions must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction date. Submitting a request within this window does not guarantee a refund unless required by law or approved by Paddle.
Statutory withdrawal rights
Consumers in jurisdictions with statutory withdrawal rights, including the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, may have a 14-day right to withdraw from eligible digital content or service contracts.
Digital access and usage
Where allowed by law, the right to withdraw may not apply after gitroots access, digital services, downloads, provisioning, or other product benefits have started and the buyer consented to immediate access.
Technical or delivery issues
If gitroots is not delivered, is materially defective, or persistent technical issues prevent access to the purchased service, contact gitroots support first so we can resolve the issue. If it cannot be resolved, Paddle may issue a refund in line with applicable consumer protection law.
Fraud or abuse
Refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, policy violations, chargeback abuse, or other manipulative behavior.
Subscriptions and renewals
Free trials
No charge
If your plan includes a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first paid charge.
First payment
14-day review
The first paid subscription transaction may be eligible for a refund request within 14 days, subject to Paddle's terms and applicable law.
Renewals
Generally final
Renewal payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law or approved by Paddle. Cancel before renewal to avoid future charges.

Processing notes
Refund timing
If a refund is approved, Paddle normally processes it to the original payment method where possible. Bank or card processing times may vary.
Access after refund
If a refund is issued, access to the refunded gitroots subscription, plan, or purchased service may be cancelled or disabled.
Taxes
Tax refund eligibility is handled by Paddle and may require valid tax exemption or registration documentation within Paddle's required timeframe.
Mandatory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights or refund rights that apply in your country of purchase.
Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The version available on this page applies unless Paddle's Buyer Terms or mandatory law provide greater rights.
